Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana, on April 15,1976. She attended an exclusive Christian elementary school called Monroe Christian School. As a student in secondary school, Ward began at Ouachita High School. She then transferred into River Oaks High School during the summer following her Junior year. A short time after her graduation she attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward, then 13, was modeling when she quit the school. Then she moved in New York to pursue this career. She tried her hand at acting a few years later. Her first role was uncredited in the 1970s on the soap opera All My Children. Later she was cast on the short-lived teen drama on NBC's prime time Malibu Shores. In late 1996Ward got a job in the daytime soap opera Sunset Beach where she portrayed the romantic Meg Cummings.
